A night of giggles, chortles and belly laughs brought on by the comedic stylings on the funniest Daves in the business - Dave Hughes, Dave Callan and Dave Thorton. Of course the MC skills of Mr CJ Fortuna were bedazzline. Thanks to all for a fun-filled evening.

A night of giggles and guffaws, the first POP Comedy Night was a success thanks to the cracking talent of 'the Daves' (Thornton and O'Neil) and the outstanding comedic and MC abilities of CJ Fortuna.

 

Nerissa gave the professionals a run for their money with her account of how Parkinson's affects two very important parts of her life - fashion and dating. Having warmed up the audience for the comedians everyone enjoyed a good laugh for a good cause.

 

The Headland Golf Club on the Sunshine Coast chose POP as the beneficiary of the 2008 Tony Hunt Memorial Golf Day. The pouring rain didn't stop some golfers and everyone was a winner with a mountain of prizes to give away in the Monster Raffle. Thanks to; Nerissa's Mum and Dad; and Lana, Janine and the bar staff from the Headland Golf Club for making the day a success. Special thanks to Jeldwen / Stegbar for their generous donation of $5,000.

 

Held in a garden oasis magically created to make the most of Melbourne's balmy nights, POP down to The Pond was an opportunity to have a drink in a setting that Mother Nature herself would have a beer in... or at least a shandy!

POP Charity Art Auction - 4 September 2007
First time buyers, keen art collectors and those who enjoy sipping cocktails in luxurious surrounds all had a wonderful time at the first POP Charity Art Auction & Cocktail Evening.

 

Congratulations to Steve Crawford, the winner of a $500 gift voucher from the Blue Door Gallery and to Gayle Brenchley who will enjoy two nights at the Huski Chalets in Falls Creek thanks to Earth Utility. Thanks to the Blue Door Gallery for their time and the wonderful art works.

 

Friends of POP enjoyed the latest adventure of Harry Potter thanks to the good folks at Melbourne City Rewards.

 

Those brave enough to face the cold had a fun night with lots of prizes and give-aways. Congratulations to our lucky prize winners - Kris won the major prize of a $250 voucher for fabulous new accessories label BAHAMONDE and Todd snagged a $50 drinks voucher for Watermark. Thanks to John Ahern for supplying the venue.

 

The official launch of Perspectives on Parkinson's was on Thursday 29 March at BLVD Bar in Southbank. What a fantastic night - there was socialising, laughter (thanks to MC Russell Gilbert) and fabulous prizes! Special thanks to Silver Star Motors for donating the 'Ultimate Weekend Away' and John Ahern for the lovely venue.

Nerissa chose a sweet occasion to bring her friends together and tell them about Perspectives on Parkinson's and how they can help make it a success. Fabulous food, heart shaped decorations and the odd glass of champagne set the mood.

 

The party that started it all. When Nerissa invited friends over for drinks and nibblies in Parkinson's Awareness Week 2006 she had no idea she would raise $1000 just by having fun!
